All I wanted was true love
I thought it would be you
But life goes on
Without a word spoken
Only my tears to comfort me
You pass me in the halls
I look away
I try so hard to face it
But I can't
I look up once again and see you
I smile and you walk over to me
You hug me and tell me
Everything is going to be alright
I learned that true love
Is not with just a guy
But with a true friend
