Typical Swimmer's Day
To be a swimmer
Is like being a runner under water
To be the fastest in your division and the feeling of being a winner
Wondering why the other competitors even bother
Because when they look at you,
All they see is the cutting edge of a swimmer like the fin of a shark
Nothing can touch you, not even the crowd can say “boo”
All your muscles pulling yourself to victory until everything goes dark
The heat exerting from your body evaporates the water around you
And to wake up greeted by the sight of victory
