The Flood

Expressions pass, eyes flickering like
space above
We are lifted into the ocean
swimming along the atmosphere,
far off places
littered with silver koi decorated by human faces
Sea monsters emerge from the deep blue,
covered in religious marks
branded in shadows and scars, dark
through their lungs, pull their organs apart
They fly through dams, come crashing down
and watch the water flood over the sinking ground
