There's more than meets the eye
We see her smile & laugh every day.
At least whenever she’s with her friends
The smiles, the laughs , never seemed to be lies.
We never realized what was hidden inside.
Was it because in her face expressions she seemed to be pleased?
When all along she hid her miserable tears
But reality is she’s sad and depressed and just wants to rest.
Have you heard her confess of the tortures mess?
There was no way of knowing.
Her heart undefined
She screamed and she cried, how long could she hide?
The suicide thoughts that drift in her mind
Who would have known she planned her goodbyes.
And behind the closed doors she wrote it all down
A secret for none of us to ever find out
If you see her someday tell her I figured it out
That I am no longer fooled by her giggles and laughs
There’s more to a person than what meets the eye
