Reality is finally better than my dreams.

Your sweet words are on repeat, as I lie awake in my bed.
For once I can’t fall asleep because all I can think about is you.
Your name is all I hear as I hum a lullaby to myself.
I love the way it sounds; the way it rolls off of my tongue.
My eyes are droopy, finally, I let my head drop down on my pillow.
I don’t want to go to bed; I want to be in your arms, that’s all.
Will you come and rescue me?
I’ll wait for you, always.
