Today is not tomorrow
Sometimes I sit beside my bed
Hoping, praying for a better day
I ask myself what I did wrong
But perhaps it's what I didn't do right
I've gone through life without a worry
But now as I move on and get older
I understand more and more
Of who I am and were I belong
But now is not the time
to make something of my life
It's the time to make something of now
I need to realize that today
Is the foundation of tomorrow
And if I'm so caught up in my future
And loose track of the issues now
I'll go through life having had
Missed the pleasures
That are offered to me today
