Creatures of Ignorance

Birds chirping obliviously
oh how righteous
to be a creature of no understanding
to feel for nothing
just left with simple instinct
my knowledge makes me mourn
I weep for the unchangeable
left with nothing but memory
life seems to have no conscience
why should I?
Today my tears flow
some fast some slow
no matter how hard I try
these tears will come again
