Come little Dream Catcher
Hang above my bed at night
Catch those nasty dreams
So they wont give me a fright.
But do not snare the lovely ones
Let the good dreams pass on by
Show me how to weave the circle
So that they do not die.
How they maneuver through the web
The good dreams know their way
Every breath sweeping in and out
They come about till the new day.
But those bad dreams get confused
They get caught in the web, cannot pass
My Dream Catcher protects me from them
So my innocence can last.
Show me new wonders not yet seen
Peaceful dreams come to me tonight
Catcher of mine, snare the bad
Then disperse them in the morning light.

My class went on a field trip to Virginia this past week. I got a Dream Catcher as a souvenir. I looked up what a Dream Catcher meant, etc. and I wrote this poem from what I found.
