All Torn Up
damsel distressed.
scared to love but i fell so fast, so hard.
i thought you caught me.
kept me safe within the warm embrace of your smooth, chocolate skin.
light kisses across my forehead.
the feeling of complete euphoria deep in my heart.
your love was like lightening.
strong enough to kill yet beautiful in all its disaster.
your face flashes by in my mind's eye.
my heart stops and the tears flow freely from the gaping holes in my face.
trust is earned, not easily given.
but my trust, like my tears, flowed freely.
no regrets i suppose.
my heart's in my hands, take it while you can.
