\"When Runaways run, they may never come back, but no matter how many places they go, they are always, constantly coming home.\"

Look at this beautiful curious face
So happy my heart speeds up it’s pace
This pit-pat that scampers along the hardwood floor
This giggle that hides behind an open door
This unexposed colorful wonderful child
That inherits a bloodline born to be wild
Won’t cry when he falls, he gets back up
Even I wish I could be that tough
He doesn’t know the things that I’ve done
Or the things in this world that drive me to run
He knows that I love him, that is cause for embrace
My heart always pounds when he rests his face
Upon my shoulder, he’ll be safe…when he wants to be
I will not fence him in, I’ll let him run free
Too much of my heart has already been shaped
To let this untouched soul be tamed
To a certain extent he is just like his father
He sees the line and runs so much farther
So simple his world is, so huge and so free
So wondrous this world is, the one that he sees
But for now my kiss will sit on his cheek
And guard him from hardships that prey on the weak
That pit pat will thunder across his block-wide world
And broaden and widen, instead of tremble and curl
I’ll be what he needs by his decision
Considering my soul’s unwanted provisions
Grow and conquer, my little man
Be all that you are, and all that you can
