Fingers running against the bark
Stroking the large oak
Which stood for decades
Perhaps centuries
Isolated from the rest
Its delicate layering rustled
Rays of light peeked in
Revealing the small initials
Engraved delicately inside hearts
Pierced with harmless arrows
Hand in hand
We cherished the moment together
Like many had before us
Wishing that someday
Holding dear to the memories
We will look back
At the great oak that has
Kept our love
Forever alive
