Through blistering awareness,
Paint a picture for me
Show the rise and fall of a chest
Intake of a precocious breath, awaiting the inevitable,
Exhale, relief in knowing the final moment has come

As the moon takes over the sun
Paint a picture for me
Retell the sensuous story of skin against skin
Carnal urges unleashed, inhibitions let wild
Peacefulness, not a thought that would cross minds

When dawn breaks, urging shadows away
Paint a picture for me
Let me see, through new eyes, the beauty and calamity
Gently hush the howling whispers of things that may come
Break the patient wait to release it all, pent up

And when this has invaded your soul, these images
Paint a picture for me
On a clean blank canvas, stretched across for miles and miles
Use a splash of colour, a piece of spirit
And let yourself go
