Lock and Key
Lost in the world
 With no less than a ghost of a kiss on her cheek
 
 Her heart is still locked on a chain around her neck
 Only coming off at night
 
 That’s when the true dreams come out
 With out the pressures of numbers and eyes and other letters
 
 No one found the key under her pillow or behind her blank smile
 Maybe because no one thought to look there
 
 But isn’t that where we keep things most precious?
 Close to the touch and hidden from sight
 
 Because wouldn’t you keep the key to your heart there?
 
 There would be no other place…
