Crunching leaves lethargically
And blasting music in hopes
Of drowning out the quiet
I roam this place of stillness

Everything I see in this busy space
Is painted charily with ivy
Wasting away in decaying grass
With foliage that hums in pity

I long to stop coming here
Despite the overwhelming beauty
But for the very first time
I can see why they call this peaceful
