lost in my thoughts
scared of the outcome
hoping for the best
thinking of the worst

my mind spinning, twisting,and turning
it's out of my hands
fate has taken over
and started me new plans

shifting from one to the other
never staying put
my heart is weary
my mind and body shaken and exhausted

when will this horror end
I can only take so much
sorrow-struck and heartbroken standing alone
no one to share my hurt

helpless at the ache
the pain thriving though my veins
pumping with every beat
of the nothingness inside

tears lunging from where they're hidden
sliding and slipping down my face
piercing my skin as they fall
with the pressure of all that is inside
