Christmastime
The cold wind blows as the snow falls down,
¬¬
The streets are calm and quiet all around the town.
During the day people are bustling, always moving about,
Floating through the store, buying gifts, no doubt.
In the evenings, families sit and talk around the fire,
The children laugh and shout about the gifts that they desire.
Christmas Eve comes and the children are asleep in their beds,
While Mom and Dad wait, until they hear the sound of Santa’s sled.
He will slide down the chimney in the middle of the night,
Leaving gifts for the children, who will squeal with delight.
When they wake up in the morning to gather up their toys,
They will think about the next year’s exciting Christmas joys.
