Bring the life to a stop
Never knowing where to begin
Listening but not hearing you
Looking but not seeing you
Life isn't working the way I planned
I want to understand
But to try is to fail
Never being a whole
But only broken pieces
Waking up in darkness
Afraid to sleep
Wanting more than what is right
Only to end with a dead sleep
Being too greedy with what I supposedly deserve
It's like eating away at what I've known
Walking backwards
Being nothing but unknown
