Hallowed Winter Moment
I stand here
My mind is clear
With snow falling
The wind sounds the solstice’s calling
Rustling autumn leaves bid their final farewell
Because they knew this day would come from the time they fell
I look up at the sky
I see Orion, the hunter, with his belt shining bright
I see Taurus, the bull, it’s charging to fight
All the stars, dazzling
The moons glow, evermore illuminating
And as I look down
Before me lies a white paradise
Its utter beauty, with the power to entice
Untouched by life, it beckons my attention
Its powers enrapture me like a divine intervention
And through it all, this moment, frozen in time
Is but a mere glimpse of winter’s jarring chime
Though, only I can see it this clear
Because I stand here.
