In the beginning
We all fell
But all that matters
Is where we landed

Privileged to land
Into the lap of love
Blessed to fall
Into the arms of peace
Lucky to land
At the feet of faith

But what about the other side
That no one wants to talk about
The heart
Of hate
The soul
Of sorrow
The eyes
Of loss

Faces so stoic
You think they had been painted
That way
Tears so empty
You know
They’ve been shed before

Your lips are parted
Wanting to say more
Than what you’re sure of

Your unspoken words
Are carried off by the wind
Because when winter ends
You know we’ll all
Just melt
Away

This poem is about how in the end our differences won't matter; we all leave this world with death. No man or woman is worth more than the other but we should still make the best of the life we're given if not try ourselves to improve it.
