Quietly the first leaf is turned
A new volume, crisp and clean
An adventure awaits
A sea, a dragon, a damsel
Perhaps in distress
Maybe something else,
Nevertheless it will delight me
Thrill me, give me shivers to the bone,
And I will do it again and again,
Till I can do it no more.
