Can the world stretch
Before it snaps?
How much
Can we change ourselves
Before we lose ourselves?
How much
Time has to pass
Before we forget our own history?
How many more
Have to die
Before we get things straight?
How much more
Can we take
Before we give up?
How far
Will we go
Before we realize it’s too late?
Probably not much
Longer,
Farther,
More.
And that’s what I’m afraid of.
