My mind is empty,
Like a blank piece of paper.
I’m trying to write something amazing and intriguing,
But writer’s block won’t let me.
I can’t think because I don’t know what to think about.

I can’t see the images in my mind,
That are usually swimming through the sea of imagination.
I’m not imagining anything but, I wish I was.
I can’t hear the usual voices of creative dialog,
Between the characters of the place in my mind.

Where is everyone, Where are my thoughts?
Are they taking a vacation and not telling me?
I’m confused, tired, hungry, and silently screaming,
”Where are you creative ideas? I want to write a story”

Without those ideas, how will I ever write an exciting story?
I need those creative thoughts,
And those creative thoughts need me.
I make them known and recognized.
I give them a name.
Without me they are just lost ideas floating in space,
With no one to turn them into genius stories.
And without those ideas I’m just a lonely, bored writer,
With nothing to write about.

I’m just sitting here staring at a blank piece of paper,
Wondering and wishing for miraculous ideas,
To start flowing through my mind
Like a river that just keeps flowing
Until there is no place left for it to go.

As I think now, I suppose I do have creative ideas in me,
After all, if I didn’t would I have been able to write this poem?
Writer’s Block is an illusion created by fear,
To make you think you have nothing to write about,
When the reality is that you probably have all the wonderful ideas in the world,
But your fear of your ideas not being good or liked is what writer’s block truly is.

So what are you waiting for?
Don’t be afraid of what others think.
Just write to please yourself.

I wrote this when I couldn't think of anything to write about and this is what I came up with.

There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.
