Flames lick and tease
At the singed edge of carpet
Upholstery burning
Burning down to absolutely nothing
Until only ashes remain

Desolate smoke billows
And cries out in open honesty
This fire does not enjoy burning
Itself down to nothing
This fire is scared to move forward

This fire wants to fizzle out
And die in silence
To surrender its angry flames
And spark to pacific waves
Where one ember will remain glowing

And this ember (The last one)
Will start a fire one day
It's ancestors disappointed in it
Will say it's nothing
Like its father (Good-for-nothing)

This young fire wants to burn
Wants to ignite the hearts of every
One that gazes upon it
And let them see his wicked tongue
As it corrodes through substance

Fire, fire do you burn
Burn as you run rampant throughout
This little town
And fire, fire where will you go
Once destroyed, there is no home

Sweet little fire
With its orange hands striking
Be careful what you choose to erase
Some things have no resilience
Some things are afraid of being

burned.
