Should I be looking
For someone
Somewhere else?

Should I dismiss
The unidentified sparks
Or the flight of butterflies
That dance
In my teenaged stomach?

Should I quite hallucinating,
If I am hallucinating
The sparkle I catch in your eye
When you catch mine?

Should I stop playing
The role of the silly, love struck girl,
Because I feel I’ve lost my grip
On gravity?

Have my eyes
Woken up blind this morning,
Or is this summer haze
Just a blur to my vision?
