A brown diamond flies through the air, spiraling as my bare legs are num. Catching and throwing, it falls on ground leaving it open to all. Touchdown, slammed on pavement, bouncing up. Spinning slowly on a playground seat, watching as the ball is kicked and thrown still seeming flawless. Found my own, throwing it almost perfectly. Kicking it high but short, hits a guy in the head, I run away, laughing. Shivering in the cold winter of Michigan, I spin around watching my guy friends play ball.

I thought of this piece when I was at recess an normally you think of football as a guy thing. It all changed at Super Bowl 45.
