Our World Past, Present and Future
The world is one all fear,
One all life all death,
All one.
This is no blood untouched.
God has blessed us we sing,
But there are so many ones to hate.
For those of you filled with hatred and mistrust,
You can be filled with bitterness,
You can be filled with hatred.
Even a desire for revenge.
I also feel in my own heart that same kind of feeling.
God has blessed us we sing,
God has blessed us.
That scene was shattered by a gunman’s bullets.
The wind was burning,
Something was ending.
Six people shot and taken from our world forever.
Our hearts are broken by their sudden passing.
But, like all Americans, I have come to pray with you today,
And stand with you tomorrow.
The hopes of a nation are here,
In the faces of our children.
So curious, so trusting, so energetic, so full of magic.
We can teach our children that in America,
We embrace each other,
And support each other in times of crisis.
The forces that divide us are not as strong as those that unite us,
Because together we stand an American Family,
Thirty-million strong.
I believe that for all our imperfections,
We are full of decency and goodness.
The loss of people should make every one of us strive to be better,
To be better in our private lives,
To be better to friends, neighbors, and parents.
That’s what I believe.
We mourn with you for the fallen,
We join you in your grief.
Here on this Earth we place our hands over our hearts,
And we commit ourselves as Americans to our country.
May God bless and keep those we’ve lost in restful and eternal peace,
And may He watch over and bless the United States of America.
Because together we stand an American family,
Thirty-million strong.
