the night's black
February 27, 2011
Today I'm a lime green.
Bouncing off the walls,
staying away from caffeine,
running through the halls.
But tonight when I get home,
I'll be a steely grey.
My mind a locked dome,
things I won't get to say.
Yet when that song turns on,
my heart will turn lilac,
light and happy like the sun,
turning to Night's black.
