Wrath
The words echo
A sigh of whispered noise
And my heart pounds
I’ve fallen prey to your ploys
I see a flash of light
A blaze of liquid fire
And I scream and spread my wings
I pray they'll take me higher
The glow is quickly fading
as my feet leave the ground
And I am soaring from the village
I can no longer hear a sound
I feel a tear erupt
From my lovely porcelain face
And I wipe it away hastily
The weakness gone without a trace
The sky is growing darker
My village disappears
And I slowly lower to the ground
Confirmation to my fears
Everyone is dead
Corpses turn to ash on the wind
I bow my head in prayer
For I know that we have sinned
