Silent Streets

I ambled through the silent streets
My feet dragging after me
The trickle of rain on my head
Trees swaying in the breeze
My broken soul running unbound through my body
There was no movement amongst the buildings
As I stroll through these silent streets
My heart cleaved in two
Nothing makes a sound
Nothing is alive
My feet stumble upon the rough cracked sidewalk as I walk these streets
Never to die
Never to live
Never to feel
