I redrew the star on my hand ‘cause I liked the way it sat there
But added a tail so it had the option to move
I threw in some clouds so the path wasn’t easy
‘Cause what’s life if it’s lived without risk

But ink doesn’t move so it was forced to stay
Till the facts of life wore it into a blur
And all that was left was an empty reminder
Of what can happen if you try too hard

Basically, this poem came about because I had drawn a star on my hand and thought it look cool, so when it got washed off I retraced the blurred outline.
