The ticking of the tock
softens to a muffled rattle
as its clear tie dye eyes zone in
my heart thums
like a timpani drum in a murder mystery
as it creeps around the corner
my breath hardens
to a static puff
and its hiss travels through my veins
i feverishly bat my lashes
before a blurr over comes my vision
and its claws sink deep into my core
