I dream of the day that you’ll finally notice me,
And flash that smile in my direction.
Then I’ll fly into your open arms,
And everything will perfect.
But I know that only happens in stories.
This is the real world.
Where dreams are common,
But never happen.
Where falling in love is easy,
But keeping it is hard.
Where guys like you,
Don’t go for girls like me.
If I told you about what I’m feeling,
You’d think I’m crazy.
That’s why I keep it in my head,
So at least I can imagine a happy ending.
