Emo Heart
Depression's good friend,
No one cares, apathy,
Tears are familiar -
Though no one ever sees.
Poetry's writer;
It's dark and it's sad,
But, sorry, my feelings
Aren't usually glad.
Black is my color;
Brights wouldn't fit
In my quest to hide -
I just can't help it.
Wishing for romance,
Pain for lost love,
Wondering if this
Is all life's made of.
Some call me a loner,
Tendency to be down,
Craving solitude
With nobody around.
I hate being hurt,
But misery sure shows up fast -
Knows the way here
From visits in the past.
I know that you wonder
Why I'm still not over
Us being apart. I guess I
Just have an Emo Heart.
