Memories of you
rush over me;
Your laughter, I hear;
Your smile, I see;
My giddiness, I feel.
But the pain in your eyes
haunts me.
The sadness in your laughter
doesn't escape me.
Thoughts of you
taunt me;
Your words, I hear, clearly;
Your hands, I see, perfectly;
My heart, I give, wholly.
But the terseness to your voice
echoes through me.
The shakiness to your movements
frightens me.
