you obviously don't know
the real me.
every single day
i put on a mask
and force a smile.

my friends accept it
but they know the truth
while everyone else believes it
and keep pushing the hate.
sure it hurts,
but i'm staystrong
because damn it--
I AM.
i am me;
i'm not going to change
because a few people
don't like the way i act
because i'd rather be hated
for who i am
than loved for someone
i'm really not.
