My Soul Is

My soul is a blank canvas, weary and brown.
It sits in anticipation, waiting, waiting for inspiration.
Bright red anger colors my heart.
Yellow joy and green envy join it.
Pink love and black loss and blue sorrow
Grey monotony darkens the image
Turquoise calm gives it new life.
A cacophony of colors
The rush of emotions, the frenzy
The colors of my soul.
My soul is a bright and colorful canvas,
Alive and filled with inspiration.
