it is hard to die,but it easy to live

The thumping of the royal drums
Announced the beginning of the ceremonies
local subjects of the kingdom
Crowded into the court of the palace
Some fell on their knees
And threw dust on their heads
She was dressed in silk
Covered with jewels,
And wore a cap speckled with gold

In the midst of this magnificent display
We see into the heart of Africa

We hear about legends of tribal conquest and drum stories
The girl’s eyes you feel
The day to day of Africa
Her smile keeps the traditions
Of Africa and are handed down
By word of mouth

The girl fills the gaps of the magma in deep trenches
She was like fire that touches
The souls of mankind
Her voice that echoes
As the clouds collide
she was the sea that never dries

Her faith believe all things are possible
It cost much to long for
Her language that holds the universe in peace
A young girl, longed for a future
In which she would be free
