If I can't write something stupid, then I won't write anything. If I can't express myself, then I will stay quiet. If I can't hate my story, then what's to love? If I can't create the characters, then who will the readers get to know? If I can't use my words, then it's really telling my "story". If I can't be me, then what's the point of you being you?

The author's comments:
I came up with this poem in my creative writing class. It was actually a journal entry I wrote. The message I wanted to express was that if I can't express myself through writing or any other form of self-expression, then there is no point in others expressing those same values.
