She keeps her head held high,
her face towards the sky.
Sunshine or gray skies,
you'll only see her good side.
She has those brown eyes,
that are hard to hide.
And that smile,
that she hides behind.
Her past is a part of her,
afraid to let go.
When everyone knows,
that's what she needs to do most.
She can only hold back for so long,
before being alone is all she'll know.
Only she knows herself,
But, I know her bad side will NEVER show.
