Drowning

pushing against the current,
its only the
whispering willow
that lays wittness
you struggle,
the constant strain
on your back
unyielding
the pain of drowning
the pain of living
slowly, the panic builds,
as your
weak lungs
contract
d*** the cigars,
but it's too late
the fire's ebbing,
as is your mind
you drift to the very bottom.
silent
peaceful
gone.
