A wallet
Its smooth leather surface not easily worn over time
Contained inside is everything we value
All that we need to go about our lives

Pockets within contain priceless photos
Pictures of people we love
Cherished memories to go back to
Every time it’s opened

A heart
Its quiet steady beat never ceases
Its connection to the mind is sustained
Emotions and thoughts constantly tied together

Chambers within hold precious visions
Recollections of those we cling to
Times we shared that drew us closer
Our hearts, like our wallets, are always there

For Valentine's Day, my teacher decided to appease everyone and told us to write one love poem (obviously) and one anti-love poem. Both had to present love in a new way, and contain sensory details (I'm bad at those by the way). This is my pro-love poem.
