- What Matters
My tears freeze upon my cheeks.
This shattered heart refuses to beat.
All that feeling, forever gone.
It takes too much to be that strong.
So you left, silent as the night,
As has the feelings to go on and fight.
Down I lay in my nest of shame,
Knowing that I have all the blame.
Never did I used to be so meek,
But I let you in, and you made me weak.
Now I'm alone with no one there.
I say these words, so be aware
That love you think is so great,
May not be anything but fake.
How I wish these things untrue,
Yet they aren't, and I see through you.
