In the night,
The evil lurks.
Out of sight
With its little quirks.
It stares and looms,
It shrieks and cries.
When the evil dooms,
Its target dies.

And in the night,
The darkness waits.
There’ll be no light
Once you pass its gates.
It never stirs.
It can always find
What might occur
Within your mind.

In the night
A young man dies.
He sees no light,
Yet hears the cries.
The evil sought,
The darkness seeped.
Although he fought,
It’s there he’ll sleep.
And in the night,
You’ll never know
Just if you’ll fight,
Or where you’ll go.
You can strive
With all your might,
Against creatures alive
In the night.
