Its tough to be a teen,no one really knows
what the pressures like in school,
This is how it goes.
I wake up every morning and stare into this face
I waanna be pretty
But i feel like a disgrace.
My friends seem to like me,
If I follow through with their dare,
But when I try to be myself
they dont seem to care.
My mom says i gotta make the grade
while both my parents love me
it only seems to fade,
It seems like everyone I know
Is trying to be cool,
When I try I look like a startfool.
Iv thought about taking drugs,
but i dont really want to
And I just dont fit in,
And it's starting to show
Maybe if I made the squad,
I'll stand out in the crowd,
If they could see how hard
I worked I know they would be proud.
Sometimes I get really sad
I want to cash it in,
My problems really arnt so bad
If I think of how life's been.
Sometimes im really lost
and I wonder what to do.
I wonder where to go, who to talk to.
It's tough to be a teen
Sometimes life's not fair,
I wish I had somewhere to go
someone who cared.
