I try to enjoy these last moments,
But the thought of him leaving again lingers in my head.
He hugs me tightly,
But all I can think about is him driving away.
He brushes my hair away,
But I can only picture being all alone.
He tells me he loves me,
But all I can say is please don’t go.
He kisses me softly.
He’s gone.
