Hold my hand
Help me stand
I cannot walk
I'm too unsteady

I hide in the shadows
And lurk in the dark
I'm too afraid
To write my mark

I asked for God, to make the pain
Quick
For his sake
But instead he ripped
The Band-Aid off
In a long, slow debate

I asked for you
To set him free
So why is he
Still suffering?
Please ease his pain
And call the game
It's time now,
Make him ready

He's holding on tight
And clinging too strong
Please, let him go
It's his time
It's his time
Please, just, let him go
