my feet
My feet make loud sounds against the concrete
draging with my to big shoes
i crunch the leaves along the side in the fall
the snow burries me to my knees
My slow dragging walk turns into a trek
for the warmth of blankets and tea
In the spring I dodge the rain drops
as my eyes take in the color all around
of new life sprouting from every crack in the side walk
and every branch on the trees
In the summer I kick a stone infront of me
my tattered flip flops that have been to warn in
and to saturated with sand and dirt
to ever want to give up
smack against the ground with each step
