Reality
I tan in the beauty of your presence,
But I cannot move.
Because the faster I ascend,
I see the endless shadow filled with deception, greed, manipulation, evil, and failure.
So I stay still and focus on the gorgeous light hitting my body,
And reality sets in.
The sun you have so adequately resembled is just a misconceived guess,
When you look deep into your eyes you see the moon’s deep craters filled of empty hopes.
