Restraining movement, collapsing
The padded box, our freedom lies -
Outside, as we grasp for the key,
The life, the jolt, the ecstasy
Cushioned sides, opening
The pleasure of escaping, a
World outside the earthly womb,
Awakening the stirring mind
The unknown tempered at our behest
The tentacles that catch as we leave the nest
The breadth of the mist, that binds - of what
We do not know, the childlike mind.
