I remember
Summer days
Jumping off the jungle gym
Shouting “Catch me daddy!”
And you did
With a grin
And a laugh
I remember
Winter days
Falling from the exhaustion
Mumbling “Catch me daddy”
And you did
With a strong arm
And a whisper
I remember
Spring days
Toppling off my bike
Shrieking “Catch me daddy!”
And you did
With a smile
And a hug
I remember
Autumn days
Holding my broken heart
Praying “catch me daddy”
But you didn't...
Because you were gone.

Yeah, and this one actually made it into a book of poetry! That was cool. "Why Am I So Silent" is in a book too, as is another poem of mine that isn't on here. Different books, though. Thanks for reading!

Wow, this is so tragically beautiful. I really like how you used the seasons to show stages, especially Autumn - the season of change.
